SPOTLIGHT ON ADDING BONING TO YOUR 3D DESIGN IN VSTITCHER

From wedding dresses to evening wear, adding boning to your 3D garment helps smooth out the lines of the bodice, keeps the seams straight, and keeps them from wrinkling.

In this video tutorial, we’ll walk you through three methods to apply boning to a strapless dress in 3D fashion design software, VStitcher, and achieve a well-structured result.

Discover how to apply boning to your garment with these three methods:

  • Stitch-on
This method allows one to create pattern pieces for the boning and to stitch the piece to the body.
  • Attachment
If the boning does not need to straddle a seam and is on a straight edge, this method is the best option.
  • Wire
This method would be used when the garment needs to have even stronger support. We can use the wire function to add extra reinforcement.

We hope you enjoy learning how to add boning to give your 3D  garment long-lasting structure and support.
